I've been busy. Busy searching for my hazy future. My high school English teacher handed me a copy of Paulo Choelo's The Alchemist, and gave me the you better read this and report back to me or you'll regret it look, which I'm glad about or I wouldn't have made it through the whole book. I didn't love it, but I did dog-ear so many pages that I might need to replace the warn out copy. {I suppose I just contradicted myself in those two sentences.} I think what I mean is this: The Alchemist isn't my new favorite book, but it was powerful and deep, and the message is just what I need right now.
I am reflecting on this at the moment:
"The secret is here in the present. If you pay attention to the present, you can improve upon it. And, if you improve on the present, what comes later will also be better. For get about the future, and live each day according to the teachings, confident that God loves his children. Each day, in itself, brings with it an eternity."
I am still trying to absorb that.
